Strengthening the Eyes
Strengthening the Eyes; A System of Scientific Eye Training was first published in 1924. The book was printed on MacFadden's own publishing company: MacFadden Publications Inc.
This book by the 'Father of Physical Culture', was published nearly 25 years after 'Strong Eyes: How Weak Eyes May Be Strengthened and Spectacles Discarded', which was MacFadden's first book about natural eyesight improvement. Strengthening the Eyes came about as a result of MacFadden getting to know Dr. Bates, and updating his own ideas with Dr. Bates' findings.
